We are a key supplier of generators and gas engines and have the largest specialised service team in the country. Edina Ltd. are distributors for Perkins Engines, Volvo Penta and Deutz Power Systems. Due to our continued success we are inviting applications for the following vacant position:
GAS ENGINE SERVICE ENGINEER - EDINA DUBLIN & EDINA UK (MANCHESTER)
- Experienced Gas Engine/ CHP Service Engineer required to join our growing Service Team.
- Experience in Diesel/ Gas engine overhaul and field service work essential.
- Knowledge of electrical generator equipment desirable.
- Computer literacy although not essential would be and advantage.
Main Purpose of the Role
Service and Repair of gas generators and engines.
Main Duties and Responsabilities
- Unkeep and maintenance of generators on site and in the workshop.
- Engine overhauls, again both on site and in the workshop.
- Welding/ fabrication work and pipe fitting.
- Other team duties as and when required by the Service Manager.
The successful candidate will be fully computer literate and have knowledge of PLC based machinery. Have a significant number of years post apprenticeship experience and be familiar with electronics. The successful candidate must be capable of working under their own initiative and be dedicated to their job.
Specific product training for the specialised equipment takes place overseas at the manufacturer's facility.
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
This position will require some on-call duties.
Remuneration and Benefits
This position will command and excellent salary, on-going training, company transport, health insurance and a pension scheme for the successful candidates.
A full clean driving licence is required and applicants must be eligible to work in the republic of Ireland.
